Start the new year off right, with the joy of Baroque music in the hands of its next generation! Join us as we celebrate the conclusion of our New Year's Baroque advanced workshop with a short, sweet, and festive concert by skilled young players aged 10-18 — including newcomers, returning students, and alumni — playing Baroque violins, cello, and viola da gamba. The program includes Vivaldi's mesmerizing concerto in D minor for two violins and cello, Henry Purcell's opulent "Three Parts Upon a Ground," Georg Muffat's exquisite Passacaglia, and more. Lead faculty Eleanor Legault (Baroque violin and viola) and Nick Chrisman (Baroque cello) join the orchestra, along with guest artists Henry Lebedinsky (harpsichord) and John Lenti (theorbo). The venue is ADA accessible with street parking and a parking lot. There is no admission charge, but free-will donations are gratefully accepted and contribute to SHAK’s ongoing programming.
