Enjoy a playful, inspiring week in our age-mixed one-room-schoolhouse atmosphere, discovering hands-on arts and crafts of the past. These classes are designed for kids age 7-13. (Got slightly younger kids who might be interested? Please inquire!)
Renaissance Arts Week
Discover the fun and beauty of the Renaissance era in music, crafts, and lots of movement! SHAK teacher Miyo Aoki introduces instantly-accessible Renaissance music on the recorder to both first-timers and established players. Participants will also sample historical fencing, enjoy songs and easy social dances with historical instruments, and more. Co-taught with SHAK founding director Shulamit Kleinerman.

Cost
All of SHAK's programs operate on a sliding-fee model.
Above local median household income / net worth: The suggested tuition payment is $375-475.
Near local median household income / net worth: The suggested tuition payment is $250-350.
Somewhat below local median household income / net worth: The suggested tuition payment is $150-225.
Far below local median income: No one turned away for lack of funds. Please pay whatever you can, but if your family is experiencing economic hardship and you have no ability to pay for activities, you may self-select a full scholarship.
