Discover music of long ago in this friendly concert for music and history lovers of all ages! Seattle Historical Arts for Kids director Shulamit Kleinerman plays the Renaissance fiddle, joined by returning SHAK guests Miyo Aoki, recorders, and Amy Warren, viola da gamba. The instrumentalists present toe-tapping English country dance tunes and a couple of teasing puzzle compositions from the time of Queen Elizabeth. Student singers join in to bring to life the streets of Shakespeare’s London with the hilarious songs of the chimney sweep, ratcatcher, and vegetable seller – longtime SHAK favorites for all ages!

At the concert's end, audience members are invited to learn a participatory dance from Shakespeare's time.

The concert lasts less than an hour.

Tickets are $9 per adult or child (toddler up). Advance purchase is strongly recommended! Infants attend free.
