Bring the colorful Middle Ages to life in this project full of camaraderie and the satisfactions of public performance. This summer will be our sixth performing medieval songs and instrumental music in period costume at Camlann Medieval Village. Catchy tunes and stories fill our days of rehearsal. On both Saturday and Sunday, we give four half-hour performance at Camlann. All participants sing; skilled instrumentalists may also be part of our accompaniment team. To get a sense of what our Camlann outings are like, visit the Gallery for photos from our previous five seasons.
WHO MAY PARTICIPATE: Ages 7 and up (for mature 6 year olds, please inquire). All participants will sing and should be able to match pitch or at least in the process of developing this ability. Our group has room for a minimum of 8 students and a maximum of 12. The workshop is taught by award-winning SHAK founder-director Shulamit Kleinerman.
FEES: $295. SHAK is committed to making partial scholarships available; please inquire.
