Camlann Medieval Village 2016 & 2017
Performance weekend 2017
For six years now, our summer outings to Camlann Medieval Village have been a favorite tradition for many students. After a workshop week of rehearsals, we spend Saturday and Sunday bringing fourteenth-century England to life with half-hour performances of period music and drama, outdoors in the "village green." Everyone sings our repertoire of old favorites, plus new pieces every year, and student instrumentalists play medieval fiddles, harp, and percussion with Shula. Between performances, the kids and teens love visiting the merchants, dipping candles, watching other performers, picnicking under the trees, and trying their hand at blacksmithing or sword combat.
