SHAK's theater program takes the stage

Our kids and teens present high-quality performances for the public, sharing the stage with adult professionals.
In March 2017 we performed Handel's Serse!
Stay tuned for our next endeavors.
See our Events page to get involved.

We create a theatrical production each spring, fully staged in the style of the period with costumes, live music, and related arts such as dance and fencing. Past projects have included A Midsummer Night's Dream, Handel's opera Alcina, Tales from the Middle AgesStarry Messenger: The Life and Times of Galileo, and most recently, Handel's Serse. Check out photos and some videos from all our past projects in our Gallery.

Performance projects enroll participants on a per-project basis. There are usually enrollment opportunities for age six through high school, from seasoned performers to newcomers. We also have ongoing learning programs for student instrumentalists.
