Maple Leaf Lutheran Church, 10005 32nd Ave NE, Seattle WA 98125
SHAK's medieval music faculty Nick Chrisman (vielle), Shulamit Kleinerman (vielle), and Bill McJohn (harp) take the stage to share the delights of medieval music for fiddles, harps, and voices celebrating the joys of spring. The program is full of adventurous play, highlighting the beguiling melodic turns of 14th century Italian music by Francesco Landini and his contemporaries. SHAK youth join on some favorite songs from Piae Cantiones, the centuries-old song collection of the young choir students of the cathedral of Turku, Finland.
The venue is ADA accessible with street parking and a parking lot. There is no admission charge, but free-will donations are gratefully accepted and contribute to SHAK’s ongoing programming.
