Faith Lutheran Church , 8208 18th Ave NE, Seattle WA 98115
Join SHAK Baroque music faculty for a showcase of gorgeous chamber music from the seventeenth and early eighteenth centuries — a concert suitable for gronwup historical-performance fans and school-age music students. Eleanor Legault (Baroque violin), Nick Chrisman '21 (Baroque cello and viola da gamba), John Lenti (theorbo), and SHAK director Shulamit Kleinerman (Baroque violin) present music of Salamone Rossi, Arcangelo Corelli, Alessandro Stradella, Adam Jarzębski, Giovanni Battista Fontana, and more. The faculty recital is preceded by skilled students on Baroque violins, recorders, and harpsichord playing Andrea Falconieri's zesty Folia variations, Henry Purcell's sumptuous Three Parts Upon a Ground, and an elegant trio sonata by Giovanni Battista Sammartini. String students and teachers join forces to conclude with a delightful orchestral ciaccona by Evariste Felice Dall'abaco.
The venue is ADA accessible with street parking and a parking lot. There is no admission charge, but free-will donations are gratefully accepted and contribute to SHAK’s ongoing programming.
