Early Music Youth Academy: Baroque Chamber Music Showcase

Faith Lutheran Church , 8208 18th Ave NE, Seattle WA 98115

Join the Early Music Youth Academy's young players — middle and high school students playing Baroque violin, cello, and viola da gamba — as they explore Baroque style from its origins onward. Works by Andrea Falconieri, Johann Rosenmuller, Alessandro Scarlatti, Henry Purcell, and Georg Philipp Telemann include a mesmerizing ciaccona, an imaginative sonata, a mischievous air for the theater, and a couple of elegant arias for baritone voice. This 40-minute program is directed by SHAK founder Shulamit Kleinerman, early violin, and features special guest artist Jillon Stoppells Dupree, harpsichord.

There is no charge for admission; free-will donations at the door offset the cost of SHAK's donor-supported programming. The church is accessible, with on-street parking and a small parking lot at the north end of the building.
