Baroque winds recital: Presenting Avner Bach, recorder, with Rylie Patching, Baroque bassoon

7400 Woodlawn, 7400 Woodlawn Ave NE, Seattle WA 98115

Visiting youth guest artist Avner Bach, on alto recorder, is joined by teen SHAK performer Rylie Patching — probably the only pre-college Baroque bassoonist in the U.S. — to share this short and sweet concert of Baroque wind music. Guest artist Henry Lebedinsky, harpsichord, rounds out the ensemble for music of Anne Danican Philidor, Georg Phillip Telemann, Biagio Marini, and Girolamo Frescobaldi. As an extra treat, a pair of young SHAK recorder students join in on a charming piece by Joseph Bodin Boismortier. This Sunday night concert is just 40 minutes long. There is no admission fee; free-will donations to SHAK to contribute to the cost of presenting the event are gratefully welcome. The venue — formerly known as Bethany Lutheran Church — is ADA accessible, has a small parking lot, and is surrounded by street parking.
