Faculty Concert: The Musical World of the Renaissance

Maple Leaf Lutheran Church, 10005 32nd Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98125

Calling fans of Renaissance music — and young listeners discovering it for the first time! This short and sweet all-ages concert showcases some of the instruments, sounds, and playful composition styles of the sixteenth century. Join SHAK teaching faculty Miyo Aoki and Vicki Boeckman (recorders), founder Shulamit Kleinerman (Renaissance violin), and alumni guests Tess Roberts (viola da gamba) and Isaac Levin-Delson (lute). You don't have to be attending our youth Renaissance Music Week to join us for this faculty welcome concert — this public event is a great chance to catch up with some of the people of SHAK in person, or to meet us for the first time. Mingling opens a half hour early, at 6:30! Please continue masking at this one-hour event. ADMISSION is by free-will donation at the door; the suggested amount is $5-10 for kids and $10-20 for adults. No one turned away for lack of funds. Free admission for each workshop participant and a parent.
