Ticket holders to the Whidbey Island Music Festival's 3pm concert can also enjoy a pre-concert offering by the advanced chamber players of SHAK's Early Music Youth Academy. Skilled EMYA musicians aged 15-17 perform sonatas of Alessandro Stradella, Antonio Vivaldi, Georg Philip Telemann, and Jean-Daniel Braun on period instruments with accompaniment by guest artist coach John Lenti (theorbo). String players use period bows to bring the music to life with sparkle and zest.
