Enjoy a playful, inspiring week in our age-mixed one-room-schoolhouse atmosphere, discovering hands-on arts and crafts of the past. These classes are designed for kids age 7-12. (Got slightly younger or older kids who might be interested? Please inquire!)

Shakespeare Week
Discover the fun and beauty of the Renaissance in drama, music, fencing, costume, and more! Act out famous scenes from Shakespeare with the help of SHAK's incredible collection of period costumes. Learn the art of swordplay, sing with historical instruments, play beautiful music from the Renaissance on the recorder (both beginners and experienced players welcome), and more! This class is taught by longtime SHAK stage director Carmen Mettler with SHAK founder Shulamit Kleinerman, with guest fencing instructor Cecil Longino and student and alumna instructors.
When
- Camp: Monday-Friday, April 10-14, 10am-3:30pm (Need extended hours? Inquire with us on your registration form.)
- Concluding family performance: Sunday April 16, 5pm (call time earlier in the afternoon)

Cost
All of SHAK's programs operate on a sliding-fee model.
Above local median household income / net worth: The suggested tuition payment is $550-700, which usually covers about 70%-90% of the program's actual cost per student.
Near local median household income / net worth: The suggested tuition payment is $350-500, which usually covers around half of the program's actual cost per student.
Below local median household income / net worth: The suggested tuition payment is $200-300. Please pay whatever makes sense for your household, in line with the percentage you pay for your student's other extracurricular activities.
Economic hardship: No one turned away for lack of funds. If your family is experiencing extreme economic hardship, your child qualifies for free lunch at school, etc, you may pay significantly less than $200.
